Water Deliveries/Captain Service

When boats are too high to transport to the port by truck we offer loading supervision for water deliveries. If necessary, Boat Shipping International will provide a licensed captain to pilot the boat. A custom made cradle will also be delivered to the port to coincide with the lift-out schedule. If you require a licensed Captain to move your boat to a marina or facility for haul out, we can arrange for a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain to move your boat.

Marine Transport Insurance

Boat Shipping International  offers  Marine Transportation Insurance policies and quotations for your boat. This insurance is highly recommended and is very inexpensive.  The shipping line that will transport your boat is only liable for a very minimal amount for any damages.

Cradles

We only use professional packing facilities who we have worked with over the years to build shipping cradles for boats that do not come with a trailer. Cradles are either steel (for heavy boats) or wooden (wooden cradles to Australia are ISPM15 compliant). Our cradles are built specifically for your boat and will meet or exceed all loading requirements for all shipping lines.

Shrink-wrap

Shrink wrap not only keeps your boat clean, it is also a theft deterrent. The cost is minimal compared to the benefit and is computed based on the length and beam of the boat. Boat Shipping International can provide shrink wrap services on site or dockside.

Boat Locator Services

If you know what kind of boat you want but have not found one, we offer a no charge Boat Locator Service. Our staff and our network of brokers and dealers throughout the U.S. can find the boat you want in your price range. Just send us the details about the desired boat and we will get to work locating it for you. We can also recommend a broker to help you find your boat and work for you during the purchase. We have contacts with brokers that specialize in almost every make and model of boat.

We understand how challenging it can be to purchase a boat from another country so we can also help in the buying processes by speaking to dealers or owners for you and facilitating the purchase.

Surveys and Sea Trials

Boat Shipping International can arrange for a licensed Marine Surveyor to inspect and sea trial a boat almost anywhere in the U.S.

Documentation

We prepare Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin and insurance certificates. We also can assist with BIVAC/CNCA certificates, legalized documents, and Letters of Credit.
